Hello,
I matched last year into a surgery residency. But because of some visa issue (I am a foreigner but has a US MD degree), I cannot legally continue my residency in this program next year. In this case, can I reapply and match to a different program that support foreigners? Will my previous match have some impact on my new application and match?

During interview trail, ran into someone who was in first year of ER residency. She was changing fields. Why not?
