I find that I'm mostly doing UW questions, but once I'm done, I find nothing else to do. So I have like 2-3 hours of nothing to do. I write notes from UW, but still they wouldn't take much time to read (since they're not many yet). I wonder if there's anything else I should be doing? Any recommended books (other than Kaplan or other huge books), notes, or websites? I have USMLE Step 2 Secrets (2004 ed.), but I didn't like it that much, not to mention that I found several errors in it.

If you have finished the main reading & started doing questions, what else do you do? :notsure:

are you doing step-2CK prep full time? How come you have that much time remaining? btw, you not doing USMLEconsult?
Yes, I'm preparing full-time. I have 3 months to do questions; 2 months UW, 1 month Kaplan. Then I'll take the exam. I did 800 questions of USMLEconsult, but stopped. I didn't like the questions that much. I also didn't like the interface; it's pretty far from FRED2 or UW.

I prefer to do one block of UW a day in a timed random mode, and spend a big deal of time reading the explanations, writing down notes, and checking the internet for topics of interest. By the time I start doing Kaplan qbank, I'll have become more ready, so I can do 2 or even 3 blocks a day.

Still there's some time left where I don't know what to do, and I don't want to do more questions per day to not overwhelm myself. So I'm now searching for concise books or notes; both FA for CK and MTB are huge, and I've already read Kaplan lecture notes.

In step 1 there was the FA and the preparation itself was so overwhelming. Now it's less demanding, though not totally easy, if you know what I mean.

happy to have you here haisook. I'm not able to give much to prep because of classes, utmost 2 hrs a day, so it's taking lots of time, but my exam's in the end of august, so i'm going slow.

Now i do admit that i have only done Step 1 and about to begin clinicals... But i would think that in that extra time.. If you have any book like High Yield or anything related to step 2 ck... Those books usually have lots of tables in which you can review everyday and summarize alot of information rapidly.. I found it helpfull when i studied for step 1, im sure it would help for step 2 also. Not sure if this is helpfull but oh well haha, GL on your usmle exam!
