Are Kaplan lecture notes 2008 too old?

Hi I am planning on taking the step 1 on December and have all the lecture notes from 2008 from someone who did really well on the test, but I am afraid they are to old.
Can someone tell me if is a good idea to study from that or is I should get the newest ones? I also have the 2008 videos ( I think), Goljan path book and I will get the BRS Physiology.
