A 65 year old man routinely takes Aspirin for his arthritis. The patient's condition worsens and his typical doses of aspirin are no longer effective. Without consulting his physician he increases both the amount & frequency of dosing. Which of the following would be the most likely early symptom of salicylic acid intoxication?

  • A. Decreased arterial PH
