I don't think there's a clear relationship - the literature still seems too vague and things like treating autism with SSRIs are not yet accepted therapy.

Similar issues in autism and autism spectrum disorders include mGLUr5 inhibitors. There are a couple in clinical trials and the relationship between Autism and Fragile X is a conversation topic. If you're interested in these kinds of issues, I'd recommend you look up Dr. Bear at MIT. Otherwise, l wouldn't worry about it for now.
