I've been preparing for the past 3 months and am planning to take up my exam on jan 31st. I've been working out Uworld for the past 10 days. My scores so far have been in 60-70% range with an overall 64%. I've been doing subject wise questions and I find anat and biochem to be the toughest among them (54% and 50%) are my overall scores sufficient. How should I focus my preparation from now on?

Really, I don't know. Many people told me that over 65% in UW will get you 99 but in my case I scored 66% and I got 97 in the exam. That's why I didn't want to make him very comfortable with his score and I wanted to let him work more.
check this link! i think it;s more reliable and does not make you relax in your effort compared to other tables which boost your confidence too high!

In my case, I was scoring 67%, I scored 440 in NBME online, which shook me a little bit because i thought that >65% in UW is a 99. Then I studied harder and went up to 72%, scored 570 in a new NBME online and then i scored 243 in the exam. Do an NBME midway to the exam, know your weaknesses and after intense study go for a second NBME.

I no longer recommend this table at this time, because people have been scoring 99 with scores as low as 229. May be lower. On the said table, 229 correlates to around 95-96, which is incorrect at present.
Yea my Guru! you are right! but to make one feel there is more work to be done, then it's still good to boost ones moral!

This is another reason why people shouldn't focus on the 99 so much, but instead focus on the 3-digit number. The range for the 2 digit score is extremely variable from year to year and is therefore not as reliable as the 3 digit score. While a 229/99 is a good score, a 240/99 looks so much better, and the three digit score is the one that most American med schools and residency programs look at. The average score for my school this past year was 235, so folks who scored 229/99 were actually below average. Also, if you look in the front of FA at the average scores for various specialities, they use the 3 digit score...use this to set your goal!

15 days left? I'd first, do an NBME, then I'd do FA again, and do the free 150 questions. If you're still not sure of yourself, you can do USMLEconsult for the remaining few weeks - it's $75 for a month long subscription and well worth it in my opinion... :)

NBME scores

Took my NBME today. Scored 480 - 218. But my USMLE simulation exam scores were 238 and 250. I've only 1 wk for my exams and i'm totally confused right now... Should I take my exams as planned or should i postpone them???
