Hello everyone, so I have recently been rejected for the visit visa to US for clinical electives, since I have given my final year exams so I am awaiting for my result so the visa officer said that since I am unemployed and could extend my visa there so I don’t see a point. And got rejected. Super tensed and any advice would be of great help.

what is the reason for getting rejected. Did you told about the reason for going to US for electives?

You should mention during the visa interview about electives itself you should not talk about your sister. Also, did you get the acceptance letter of the electives from the hospital which is important during the visa interview.

i did said i want to go for electives and then i said to visit my sister. yes i showed her the letter. but the thing is her attitude from the start was vague and she kept on moving her head. she asked if i have traveled before which i haven't so i said no which also did not go in my way

Then apply again you will be getting the visa, prepare well. Also, show the sufficient financial status in the visa along with the amount during the stay in US.

mistake that i made in my interview was i said this elective is not related to my course. i was unaware of such question before. but now everyone says this is the key question. now what can kind of questions will be facing i got no idea about that. plus i had no travel history which the officer asked and nodded after hearing my negative reply to that too
