Post and Poll Options were last updated on December 27th, 2013.

In this poll we vote for the Best Neuroanatomy book specific for the USMLE Step 1 Exam.

Choice of Books Listed in the Poll

  • You will notice that larger textbooks of anatomy and neuroanatomy are not listed here, we are voting for those books that are specifically useful in the USMLE prep.
  • The books listed above are useful for Med school students during their med school years as well as graduates who are preparing for the step 1 exam.
  • Books that have only questions with no review content are not listed. Similarly Flashcards are not listed.
  • Books that are outdated (8 years or older) and that do not have updated editions also get removed from the poll, their votes are also deleted in the process.
  • If we have missed a Neuroanatomy Review book, please post about it in the mainstream Step 1 Forum and we'll add it to this poll.

Why books are linked in the poll options?
Book links are periodically updated to the latest editions and will take you to Amazon pages where you can purchase those books. Books that are not available in Amazon cannot be listed.

Najeeb

For those with weak fundamentals in Neuro, Najeeb does a great (yet time consuming job) of explaining everything from A to Z. He covers EVERY SINGLE POINT in First Aid. Again, time is the key here. It's good for someone who is totally lost..or WAS lost, like me.. Ask me anything. Ill; answer it eyes and ears closed.
