In this poll we vote for the Live USMLE Step 2 CS Courses.

The courses listed above are useful for Med school students during their med school years as well as graduates who are preparing for the step 2 CS exam. Step 2 CS live courses that do not have websites or those that seem illegitimate are not listed in the poll. If we have missed a live Step 2 CS course, please post about it in the mainstream Step 2 CS Forum and we'll add it to this poll.

You will also notice that we move away or delete replies to this thread. This is because we want the focus on the poll above rather than discussion and comments. You can always check our Step 2 CS Courses Tag for discussions about live courses for the Step 2 CS Exam.

Please do not vote if you haven't used any of the courses above. Artificial inflation of votes by commercial companies will be detected and removed. Votes that are older than 18 months are automatically deleted. Companies that advertise with us do not have any advantage in this poll and we will actually ban companies from advertising with us if we detect artificial inflation of the vote.

Hi all, I got my usmle step 2 cs result today and I passed. I prepared only for 4 weeks and attended step2it course. Step2it course has helped me immensely. Dr Jacob is very good teacher and very good in communication. He took care of everything when I went to stay near the course venue. He picked me from the motel everyday and dropped me at the train station on the last day. He is very flexible. I am working in NHS UK. I have been working here for quite a few years but I still felt that I needed to attend a course to understand the US system and practice.Thank god I did that. I went for step2it course as it was reasonably priced and flexible with dates.

I have been to so many communication skills courses in UK and I have taught medical students but Dr Jacob was a real surprise for me. He is a great teacher.

One of my friend from UK didnt attend any course but he failed. He works in General medicine and has been working in UK for quite a few years. I am in psychiatry, had lost touch with acute specialities but Dr Jacob helped me to sail through this exam.

Personally, I dont think this exam is easy particularly for IMGs.

Hi, I took Kaplan CS course in may, 2015.
The way it is organized: 1st day: lecture and workshop on pt interview (small groups of 4 + SP - gives you a very good perspective of the SP: what to do/not to do, say etc.).
2nd day: workshop on pt physical exam (small groups of 4 + SP + Kaplan MD) and lecture on Pt Note.
3rd day - Pt note workshop, lecture on peds and psych, and 2 pt encounters.
4th or 5th day - mock exam 12 encounters (depending on the group - there were 36 of us divided into 3 groups) and then there was cases discussion/score report.
The course is very, very good.

I gotta vouch for Step2It with Dr. Jacob. Hands down best prep you can get. Very personal and tailored for your needs. Dr. Jacob is also genuinely a good guy. If you want the test day "feel" you might want to do a Kaplan 1-day simulation. However, you'd get more out of Step2It if you had to pick one.

Best Step 2 CS live program

I was told by my cousin that had a great step 1 experience with the USMLE success academy to try them out for my CS prep. I can honestly say that this was the best advice ever given to me because I had already failed the exam once by using only first aid and practicing with some of my friends I made during my peds rotation. Their live course in Chicago is simply amazing because I covered well over 50 cases (I don't remember the exact number but it was a lot!). The patient encounters took place in an exam style room and they used the same computer program used on the exam for typing the patient note. The entire time was spent working with an MD because my instructor was acting as the SP and also evaluating my every move. By the end of this course I was over prepared for the actual exam because I had experienced every type of case imaginable during their course. The success academy's CS course is amazing and was worth every penny because I passed my exam!!

USMLE Success Academy is Amazing!!

I recently received my passing score on my Step 2 CS exam!! Dr. Paul and Dr. Teed of the USMLE Success Academy were truly amazing!! I was extremely deficient in my physical exams, timing, and my patient note preparation, but through the guidance and training of Dr. Paul and Dr. Teed I was able to turn these areas around during their 5 day program and I was able to take and pass my exam within only 1 week after taking the course. I highly recommend their CS course!!

I just did a 4 day live course with Dr. Jacob. I am an IMG and another Iranian IMG were in this course with me. 1st day was lecture and at the end of the day we practiced one case. 2nd and 3rd day we started around 9:30 in the morning and went upto 8:00 pm at night we practiced a lot of cases. On the 4th day we did mock test and practiced more cases. My SEP is good, no problem with speaking but I was very apprehensive about practicing case in timed environment. Dr. Jacob taught us proper way to do physical exam, proper way to ask questions, counsel the patient and time management in the exam. If I grade myself how prepared I was on day 2 for my CS performance, I will put a score of 3-4/10. But by the beginning of day 4, my performance improved so much and I realized how much I have gained from this course that I will grade my CS performance 8/10. I still have 4 more weeks to prepare for this exam and I can easily take my performance level to 9/10 by doing more practice. Also my Iranian friend also improved tremendously. Dr. Jacob only takes 3-4 students in a batch and he really works with the students weaknesses. I am really glad I took this course.

Gold usmle step 2 cs review

GOLD USMLE STEP2 CS REVIEW is the best Step 2 Clinical Skills course hands down !!! It's right next to the real exam testing center which is a big plus !!! Dr. Thomas does a great job on teaching us the concept so we can apply those principles in any given case scenario. He really condenses down everything down to the basics and focuses on repetition and drills for the history and the physical, especially the physicals. By the time I was done with the course, I was doing the whole history and physical along with the patient note by instinct without even thinking about it. Just became a routine and second nature. I can't thank Dr. Thomas and his staff enough for how well they prepared me for this exam !!

The Art of USMLE

I had difficulty in studying for my CS exam. I was reading the FA and its a good book but I needed to practice and all my friends already took the exam. I had a friend of mine that referred me to go to Art of USMLE. Within the first hour of class I knew that it was the best choice. Dr. Stavros provided one on one interaction and he provided close interaction making sure he corrects all my weaknesses. By day 5, I was fully prepared to walk into my exam and pass! He covered all the aspects of the exam, the tips to pass and what to do to get the point to pass the exam. You must go there and have him diagnose you, he is such an honest doc and will tell you if you need the course or what exactly you need to pass the exam. Best of luck to all!!

USMLE success academy Step 2 CS live course

I recomend the usmle success academy. I passed my exam on first attempt! I choose this course over many others because they have 100 percent passing rate and because they have teachers that have residency training. The course was amazing. I cover many patient encounters on my own, they gave me detail assessment and training, and they help me type faster and improve my patient note. I also had difficult time finishing the encounters in time and they help me learn to finish in time. They are wonderful people and the course is amazing.

The best ever CS live course

Don't waste your money in other centers.....
I'm an IMG with no medical experience in USA. With patience and case by case, Dr Paul and his colleague corrected all of my mistakes in 5 days and helped me to improve my weaknesses. Thanks to them, I passed my first CS test in Philadelphia 3 weeks after my course. I really believe that without their help I couldn't make it and I highly recommend USMLE SUCCESS ACADEMY to everyone who wants to pass the test in one step.
It really worth it......
