Are the current standards for declaring someone clinically and legally dead :toosad: the same? That is, could one be legally dead, yet clinically alive?

Clinical and Legal definitions of death are now matched

Even the clinical definition of death has been modified to match the legal definition.

Death now is brain death. If there's clinical evidence that the brain is dead then legally you can declare the patient is dead and stop the ventilator.

I think that's the case is all of the states.
