HI i read all the time that ppl are getting 99. so no one ever mentions how they were in their medical school. i am sure that those who were outstanding in the medical school time will definitely score 99. but do students who were just average also get 99?

I read one article from pubmed mentioning that medical school performance is the best predictor of USMLE score, indeed it's very likely that student who perform well during their 4-6 years of medical study will perform well in this exam...

Over 25% of students are getting 99 score, this means if you were in the upper 25% in medical school you should then easily get a 99.

Well in my country, there are alot of stories of people who were very average in medschool and scored 99 on USMLE. The way the exams are in medschool are alot different than USMLE. Plus people usually study harder for USMLE than they would for medschool exams. So give it your best shot, it might be hard, but not impossible.
