Your nationality or ethnicity does not matter for the match.
What matters is your medical school. If you graduate from a Canadian Medical School you'll have higher chances of being accepted than if you graduate from an Indian medical school.
A Canadian citizen or an Indian citizen who's permanent resident in Canada or an Indian citizen living in India; all of them needs J1 or H1B Visa to get to work as resident in USA, there's no difference.
