hi,
during my registration for ECFMG exams I encountered a problem, and my home university ignore to completing, sign and return Certification of Identification Form (Form 186) , i contacted with ECFMG and they suggest to send my docs for their evaluation committee.
I would be pleased if any one who have any experience about their committee give me information about which type of docs would be better to provide and send to them.

You have to get form 186 signed by your medical school.

The ECFMG will not let you take any exam without this.

You have to go yourself to the medical school or send some of your family or friends and beg them to sign it.

This is your only way, there's no other way believe me

I agree with Manuharish ... Form 186 is must , no alternate , coz i faced similar kinda problem , when i send my doc in my medical school ... Dean of my versity is an authorized person for ecfmg coz he signed before , so i send my doc to my father , he took it to my med school and signed by my dean and send to ecfmg from office , i thot its done but after 1 month ecfmg told me , they don have any record of my deans sign , coz they have changed their policy from may 09 , so according to new policy every school should send them some sample signature of authorized person for verification of form 186 ... so before resending form 186 , my medical school should send them a letter with some sample signature of authorized person ... i went to my registrar he denied to do that but luckily my dean was king enuf , he did all those thing for me , he send a letter with his sample signature to ecfmg that he is authorized person , then i went my country and got my deans signature in form 186 with a forwarding letter and send to ecfmg with 2 copy of medical diploma and 2 copy of photo with sign of dean .... and finally ecfmg validate it ... it took me 2 - 3 months to fix all those things .... so if u go in ur med school it will be quick ...... and ofcourse u will get some one who can help u to make it out ...... So just go there talk with ur office and ask them what they need to sign form 186 , try to get some 1 who gave usmle from ur med school ...

governers in my country slept then woke up-and i think had bad dreams- and decided to change the name of my university .just like that.

now my school has been merged with other medical university under new name .all this suddenly happened exactly when i sent my ducumations for my school to be signed by autorised people .

since i knew about obcession of ECFMG on this i asked university to attatch a formal letter to my signed documents and send it to ecfmg and explain what happened
ecfmg received that around mid december but yet nothing has been done! i had plan to write the exam on march but now i am so frustrated .i called ecfmg 3 times and they last time told me that b/c of signitures not being same they have requested my university for more information.

what should i do to make this process progress quickly?i mean my university does not give a...who i am and what i need and i am sure the ecfmg request is lost somewhere in their closet! so waht should i ask them directly to do?
should i ask them to send sample signitures from autherized people to ecfmg?
should these sample signitures be sent by postal mail or email is just ok?
whoes signitires should i ask for? dean ? or others?

Dear Hana ,
I feel you stressful situation as I experienced last year, I wana say you just be cool and study. dont be worry about this time(even i know it may be not so joyful for you). unfortunately , the university personals are not in a hurry to do this job and some of them are mean persons like peoples I encountered them.(I am afraid you have graduated from IUMS which merged with my Uni TUMS).
by the way there is always a way.
if you can just try to prepare your transcript and translate it without any mistypes or mistakes. and have more docs in your hand and also ask ecfmg to send them form 186 b themselves to your uni international affair office.

what is form 186b? is it different from that 186 that i have already sent?
