i am from Egypt , fresh graduate and i want to know detailed information about my chances in residency according to scores in USMLE exams


i have not pass any exam yet , still preparing for step 1 , the thing that worries me is that , does it worth to spend that time , money and effort?

i am really confused and depressed

It depends on what you want

It depends on what you want and what options you have.

International Medical Graduates are still making about 25% of the doctor's work force here in USA.

Doctor's salary in USA is one of the highest if not the highest in the world. The country is big and there are over 40,000 residents starting training every year.

You have good chances if you get high scores, do some USCE, and apply to non-competitive specialties such as internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics.
