Your upcoming geriatric community outpatient office rotation will be at a facility known as "three points" because it is situated among three different ethnic minority neighborhoods. In preparation for this assignment, you review a textbook about cultural variables in clinical psychiatry.
Which one of the following statements is correct with regard to ethnic minority elderly groups?

a- Elderly Japanese are expressive about their depressive symptoms.
b- Schizophrenia is usually under diagnosed in African Americans.
c- Elderly Hispanic individuals are high utilizers of mental health care.
d- Elderly immigrants assimilate more readily than younger immigrants
e- Elderly immigrants are more likely to manifest culture-bound syndromes.

Culture-bound syndromes are mentioned in DSM IV TR
it's also mentioned there that it's more common among elderly immigrants
So I choose E

but as it's usual the case with step 3 questions it's always confusing :(
