Hey, so I am confused about this concept and was wondering if someone could help clarify it for me? Just can't get my head around it. I get Cushing triad you get HTN, bradycardia, and respiratory depression.

What I dont get is the treatment. I dont understand why/how hypocapnea causes cerebral vasodilation. And shouldnt vasodilation mean more blood is going through it? And isnt CO2 one of the most potent vasodilators, so how does reducing the amount of CO2 causes cerebral vasodilation?

Thanks in advance!
