There are two De Quervain's diseases that we need to worry about for the USMLE:
De Quervain's tenosynovitis which is a tenosynovitis of the abductor and externsor tendons of the thumb seen in mother who carry their babies with a flexed writs and abducted thumb.
De Quervain's thyroditis which is subacute granulomatous thyroditis usually painful thyroid with frequent history of recent upper respiratory tract infection.
By the way the names are not after the same doctor one of them was French and the other was Swiss
