Today is January 4th
I sent an envelope to ECFMG on December 19th
no e mail confirming delivery but mail company confirmed it
can this delay be due to Christmass holidays ?

No need to worry.
My document reached ECFMG on 20thDec but it was updated on my Oasis account on 29Dec
I had also received the confirmation on Email on 29th itself.
My Oasis account shows my document received on 20thDec and they are processing it.

They take around 10-15 days to update it as recieved on oasis after receiving the documents.

still no e-mail ... certainly there is a problem ... credentials section do not reply e mails as well !!
