ECFMG Payment by Debit Card

Yes you can
Any debit card that has Visa or Mastercard logo on it can be used exactly as you would use a credit card not only with ECFMG but in anywhere on the net.
However, there are issues that you have to remember before using your debit card:
First, if you debit card is linked to a huge checking bank account then you put yourself at very high risk of fraud. Hackers may steal your identity. This issue is ensured in USA but am not aware about the situation in India.
Second, most banks limit the amount of debit card transaction that can be made per day (for the reason stated in number one above). Therefore, if you want to be large amount for the ECFMG, for example 800 or something, it's highly likely the bank will not allow it. While in the case of a credit card there's no such issue. The solution of that is to prepay your account in small amounts until you accumulate the required amount and then you go and register. You can do that by adding funds to your financial account in OASIS.
Third, a debit card has to be backed by real money in the bank, which means that if the bank account has no money, the transaction will not go. While that's not the case with credit cards.
The ECFMG accepts the following types of cards:
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Americanexpress.
If you don't have neither a credit card nor a debit card then you can pay the ECFMG using form 900 which can be downloaded here http://www.ecfmg.org/forms/form900.pdf which will allow you to write money order in $USD directly to the ECFMG.

how can you pay in small amount
is there any place to put the money but the application for the exam
i know when you start the application for the exam you pay the whole 920$
but is there any other place you can add smal money to your account then pay it

though payment through indian debit card is valid, to be on safe side, use credit card.
by the way, if u are planning to pay using ANDHRA BANK debit card, then dont try that. i tried it, but card verification failed every time i tried
. later i found out from the bank manager that we cant pay in DOLLARS using ANDHRA BANK VISA INTERNATIONAL DEBIT CARD. it would be better to contact someone from your bank and confirm whether u can use the card to pay the fees in ''dollars'' or not.good luck.
yes... u can pay the fees in parts in advance and also using 2-3different credit cards. for this, u have to login to your ecfmg oasis account and click on 'Financial Account Summary' and then select 'make a payment on-line' option.
(but mere payment of fees is not confirmatory of applying for an exam... u must complete both on-line part as well as send the duly filled and signed offline part and required documents along with it to ecfmg.)

this is good for me
cause it is my first time to deal with e-payment and i am so afraid of the frauds and i dont want to waste my 920$
so one more thing if you put enough money ok
then when you apply for the exam and reach time of payment what to choose so it can take from this money you put
so how did u pay your fees?? did u use form 900though payment through indian debit card is valid, to be on safe side, use credit card.

Can u please tell me If I pay through "Financial Account Summary " can I later on applying for Step 1 Usmle can i transfer from this account and how can I do that ..

I tried for lesser amount 30 USD througn oasis but not possible..I am trying with my friends Credit card But the problem is that his credit limit is 40,000 only .So I am trying to pay in parts in divided amount through oasis..Please help me .Tell me the procedure after paying to oasis..
