Pretty much everyone I know scored 50% or less on Kaplan qbank in their first weeks of using it. Don't get freaked out! The best thing about doing the question banks is seeing what you get wrong and reading the explanations. More than anything else, for me, this directs my learning by exposing where my weak points are... When you start doing more questions, you'll see how much you need to understand the concepts, and when you get some practice applying those concepts, the things you've memorized will come back to you. Start Kaplan qbank now and work as much as you can with those for a month before getting UWorld. Take an NBME exam when you are feeling comfortable to see where you stand.
