The term is coined to the constellation of CNS symptoms seen in patients poisoned with mercury. These symptoms are usually irreversible even after removal of the source of toxicity.
The most striking symptom is excessive "Shyness". Other symptoms include excessive excitability in the form of tremors and insomina as well as memory loss.
If you see Erethism in the options think of Mercury poisoning.
