approximately 4 h after eating a meal in a neighborhood restaurant three members of a family develop a sudden onset of nausea, vomiting, and severe abdominal cramps. no one was febrile and one got diarrhea. within 24 hrs symptoms have resolved and no subsequent recurrences. what is responsible?

yersinia enterocolitica
bacillus cereus
c.jejuni
salmonella enterica
shigella sonnei

i dont think its CD or E. bacillus?

i think it's the emetic form of B.cereus caused by eating reheated rice...b/c the diarrheal form is longer in duration and causes more time for it to present itself.

yah def. B. Cereus. Only Staph. Aureus and B. Cereus preformed toxin can cause GI distress that rapidly, and Staph. Aureus isnt an answer choice
