Hi,
I have my exam in 2 weeks..
I gave one NBME offline yesterday and i scored 151/200.. I was pretty happy about it.
I just finished giving another NBME online and i scored 310(181 something i guess).. WTH.. I am so very disappointed..

History of prep:
I studied kaplan blah blah in 3 months, finished UW in dec-jan, scored avg of 54 percent and got UWSA 200, since it was low, i went thru the notes again n FA and have been doing ques timed unused blocks from kaplan q bank where my highs are 65 n lows 52 percent. All this i have been doing for past 1.5 months.

Now with this NBME online score, i don't understand where is the prob, i really don't think i could get such a low score.. Is there a possibility of some technical fault in analyzing my score or was I in not good state of mind during the exam.. What should i do now? Do i take another online NBME and decide? My confidence level has crashed..
Kindly give me some suggestions as my mind is not working at all.

first of all dont bother with the offline. even though i think you need 2 months more for prep focusing on FA, give 2 more nbme online compare them to the 181 one. 7 and 6 is the best and most predictive for most of people. what is important in nbme is to see the range not the exact score of each form. my advice is always to average them out. push your exam now. dont risk it man, this is critical exam to your residency.

I think do another NBME and see where you are. I agree with warriordoc that you shouldn't do an offline NBME since it's a wasted opportunity to assess yourself. At this point I would do NBME 6 and save NBME 7 until you study some more (you don't want to do them all right now, or else if you decide to postpone you won't have any left). If you're still scoring around 181, I would postpone and study some more. GL!

I don't want to risk it.. I shall keep my prepn continued and give the exam couple of months later. Am over it now and all charged to go on..

Few more questions:
1. I currently have 1 month subscription of kaplan q bank which has 2000 n odd questions, so if i extend my subscription will i get more questions added to it??
2. Like i said before, i finished UW in dec-jan, is it wise subscribe again for it?

u wont get any new questions by extending ur subscription or subscribing again to uworld..its just u get additional time to do the same no of questions its upto u whether u want to do them in couple of weeks or months time.

No, I don't think that the extension of your eligibility period shows up on your report when you apply for residencies. The only thing that shows is if you fail and have to repeat it.
