When glucose originally gets phosphorylated in the cell with either hexokinase/glucokinase where does the ATP investment originally come from if the whole point is to make ATP?

Hi there,

Keep in mind that although glucose molecules are the starting point of ATP generation, the ATP that is consumed along the entire sequence of biochemical processes has come from the ETC. Think of it like this: In order to make more ATP, we have to at certain points consume ATP. If there is no ATP left in the system, all of our biochemical processes requiring it would stop working
