Hi!

I had failed on step 1 on my first attempt........got my step 1 reappear score today 197\80..........am very much tensed.......very depressed.........please help me and suggest what should i do........should I continue with USMLE or leave it........please tell me your experience and whether you applied for 2011 match and how did it go.....

hello.. my situation is same as you. on second attempt i got 197. i just want to know what you did after this score and what are you doing now a days. plz reply.

Chintan, can you please explain how you studied and what your UWorld percentages were and NBMEs if you took any?

He is talking about continuing with USMLE STEP'S 2 and 3 common sense guys. :indifferent:

From what I've heard, low scores and failed attempts are of course negative, but they should not be stigmatized.

Work harder and get a much better, above average step 2 and step 3 score. Then apply for observships and research, and try to get LORs and connections.

Apply for the match and then just see what happens.

Being realistic and following statistics should be for a guidance not a verdict. You can only be 100% sure that it's a NO when a PD actually tells you it's a NO. (or if you don't get an answer to your application of course).
