No problem at all... we understand how valuable excellent USCE and LORs are for our clients' careers.

MedClerkships prides itself on going the extra mile to make sure our clients get the most out of our experience, even if that includes sometimes turning clients away because their desired clerkship does not benefit their residency application.

We currently have had 2 students drop out of our Pediatrics, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Internal Medicine rotations due to visa issues. Each one of these clients had enrolled in 1 rotation each in each specialty. Essentially, we have six new spots open for the coming months.

Inquire today as 2 spots were already filled by clients on our standby list.

So far its great! Traveling in between the hospitals has been annoying in the rain but being able to rotate in hospital rounds has been very interesting. Are the Atlanta rotations approved yet? I was looking into the programs down there as the residency programs seem to have alot of IMGs. Georgia is very FMG friendly?

@DocGuilo - how is the actual experience? we can't control the weather! lol

In all seriousness, we pride ourselves in giving our clients the most exposure to as many hospitals as we can. Many other services promise you hospital time and shove you in a private clinic, never seeing the inside of a hospital.

As an IMG, the most exposure to the US healthcare system you can get can only benefit you down the line.

And yes, Atlanta rotations are officially approved. We are currently offering a 100% inpatient rotation in the following:

1) Surgery (General, ENT, & Plastic)
2) OB/GYN
3) Psychiatry (work with AMGs and residents)

It does seem that Georgia has many FMG/IMG friendly programs indeed. Please contact me at [email protected] if you would like to discuss our new Atlanta programs in depth.

Good point, guess the weather is out of everyone's hands. It's actually cold in ny today. My days actually really busy, I have been doing alot of h&p and soap notes. I think I assessed 10 patients today but the best part was the medical conference today with some rep who brought a free gourmet lunch to listen to some new hypertension drug. Just networking with the doctors is great at these things... Can I ask to work with them and get more LoRs? Or is there some sort of policy on this?

Also I sent a email to my coordinator miss martin this morning regarding the internal medicine full inpt., haven't heard back. I know your busy but can you please switch my last 2 months to that? Just met a student named rakesh at the conference who said he did it with a IM/pulmonary CC doc in the ICU? Really would appreciate it if you can make that happen for me. I can drop off payment at your office if there is any availability.

@DocGuilo I'm very pleased to hear that you are having a fruitful experience. Regarding reaching out to other doctors for LORs, there is definitely no policy against that as any networking you choose to do to benefit your career is your prerogative. I actually strongly urge you to network and make the most of your exposure to the physicians you come in contact with - you never know how that connection will benefit your career later on.

It is not unheard of for our clients to secure interviews at the hospitals at which theyve completed their USCE through our service, it's just a matter of how hungry you are and how much of a good impression you make.

Yes, we have availability in our 100% inpatient Pulmonary Critical Care/Internal Medicine program - please contact me directly at [email protected] to sort out the details

Hey yeah I did an abstract, and also published in a upcoming medical journal. Some other student said he was writing to publish in a medical book. Ask to talk to the company physicians they have a few different research opportunities. There's 4 different doctors that assign the research I think
