I think I might be wasting my time on many such low yield topics in many subjects. How to know beforehand if a given topic is low or high yield? I'm reading Kaplan, FA, BRS and Goljan for the first time.
Any suggestions pls? Anything else that I should be reading?
I think your sources are sufficient for now (I assume you mean RR Path by "Goljan" and hope that you mean at least BRS Phys by "BRS") - you can get other books if you find yourself doing badly on questions after your first reading.
When I was doing my first reading, I highlighted in yellow the things that seemed important to me, then, when I had finished a chapter or unit, I went back and highlighted in orange every thing that was in First Aid. When I would occasionally review, I'd just read the highest-yield stuff in orange (everything in FA is high-yield), only going out to the yellow material if I was unsure. Later, doing questions, when I get one wrong I look at the explanation and then look it up in my primary texts to make sure I have it clear in my head. If the key to the answer is not highlighted in orange, then I write it into my First Aid.
