Guys I am an IMG, have graduated in 2009 august I've been lazying around not really studying properly just touching my books on and off. Anyway I've finally committed to studying properly in the last month. so far I've just finished today USMLE World once and have an cumulative score of 54% i did my Kaplan books once and have seen the vids but its been almost a year so they don't really count much. Nowadays ive focused on First Aid and question and reviewing the answers.

I have a date of the 25of Jan which i know is impossible so I am planning on moving it to end of Feb but that's my last chance , either i do it in Feb or I'm out of the game.

I need help with what should i do? any guidelines advice would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.

Some more info my strengths/weaknesses (according to uworld ) are

Subject -- Percent Correct-- Percentile (compared to other uworld users i guess)
Anatomy 45% 30th
Behavioral science 68% 39th
Biochemistry 37% 27th
Biostatistics 48% 38th
Embryology 56% 48th
Genetics 63% 48th
Histology 50% 44th
Immunology 56% 45th
Microbiology 49% 40th
Pathology 58% 54th
Pathophysiology 57% 62nd
Pharmacology 53% 47th
Physiology 62% 67th

i figured im not ready which is why im not giving it on the 25th of Jan which was my original date. Now i plan on moving it to lets say 25th of February so i got a ful month and i was hoping for some input on how to capitalize on this 1 month.

As u can see from my scores im really dying in a few subjects that are dragging me down ie anatomy , biochem , biostats ,and micro.( Most importantly Biochem )

I feel if i can increase these 4 i can improve drastically so far for biostats after doing the questions i feel i have improved significantly as i learned a lot after i did the questions. So i feel the stats is covered.

AS for micro i just got my Micro-MRS and will be doing it religiously daily cuz i stink at micro.

anatomy and biochem though im at a loss i just don't know biochem AT ALL!! and anatomy im very weak at it.

Anyway right now my current plan is to revise the whole uworld ( at 200/day which since i already completed it would i think be easy) taking 12 days with this i will be doing at least an hour of micro.
Then I want to do Kaplan qbank if i rush thru it i can do maybe 150-200 a day again taking 11 days.

Besides this im at a loss at what to do should i review my books more? should i focus on questions more? or what??

@dulbee actually its kinda true i just couldnt get myself to study my books directly so i did question for learning .

So what do u think i should do ? just go thru FA then redo questions or redo my questions along with FA or what ?

Thing is i have until feburary and i know im no where near ready for this so i need all the help and guidance i can get.

Do FA and questions together until you finish FA then revise notes you wrote then keep doing UW until your exam.

Thanks for the advice but a few questions

1) should i do uworld mixed questions this time or subject/unit wise , thing is the first time i went unit wise ie first pulmonary then renal then cvs etc etc..

2)should i run quickly thru uworld and go to kaplan qbank or should i stick with uworld?

and how about the micro made rediculously simple? should i do it or just stick with FA?

U need a strong knowledge base, from which to grasp the concepts being taught in the qbanks.
U have a very short time.
My advice is that u stop qbanks for now, read FA meticulously, memorize it as much as possible, but any time u see a concept u cannot understand, quickly peep at kaplan, this way u will win on both sides. do this for about 2wks full time. then start Uworld again, this time in random, timed blocks for another 2wks, use the last wk for general revision of ur jotted notes and other high yield concepts.
hope this helps.
