Some idea

When you make it to the interview it means they are already interested in you and they approved your credentials (USMLE scores, CV, prior experience, LoRs, ...etc)

So in the interview it's about your personality.

They want to know do you fit in the program or not.

They want to know how professional you are, how social you are, how is your communications skills, are you a jerk!, are you nice and humble, ...etc

Rasheed thanks! :)

These interviews seem to last for a long time. Some have said 9am to 4pm! what do they do for such a long time?!

do you have to be formal at all times or can you relax after sometime?

The interviewing process varies from program to another but generally it goes along these lines:

Introduction lecture by PD
Making sure of some paper work with PC
Tour to the hospital
Rounds with attendings or chief residents
Formal interviews with PD and attendings
Lunch with residents and/or faculty
Closure talk by PD
Noon conference (a lecture or some other education activity)

So you are not going to be stressed all the time. In fact you will enjoy most of the time :)
