Hi there

Is it true that if i apply for dermatology residency at a particular hospital but i also apply for another residency (for example IM) at that same hospital, the program directors may see it as if i'm not fully committed to one specialty and wont grant me any interviews? should i apply for 2 specialties at different hospitals then? or still they will see that on my application?

Because in my case i'm planning to apply for derm residency in 2013 match but at the same time apply for the full IM residency program (not a preliminary or transitional year) so if i don't match in derm i can still have chances in matching at IM and do the 3 year Im residency, can i do that?

Thanks sabio! im also confused in that if a program will or will not see on my application that i applied for 2 different specialties? i mean do they have access on the list of programs that you rank according to which program you like the most?
