Are the USMLE steps getting harder than before? Does it take more to be a 99er today than it was several years ago?

He means that the USMLE community will revise the minimum passing performance (not grade).

To start with well I think this is very disturbing overall and the scores will surely dwindle for all making it difficult to attain residency in U.S! I know a friend whose step1 score was 252, but his step2 score plummeted to 222. He missed 15 Questions in exam, and said the exam has become difficult besides being lengthy and in no way similar to earlier versions.
