OK,
every "wise" teacher and student is saying that the diagnosis is not important in step 2 CS. right!

Well, I can assure you this is wrong

If you know the diagnosis, you'll know what to ask, what to examine, and you'll not forget that particular very important point.

I am a medical student and I don't have clinical experience yet. I face tremendous difficulties when I face a CS case because I don't know the diagnosis.

So I think CS should be left to after graduation when u have at least some clinical experience.

You don't need to know the diagnosis
You need to know the differential diagnosis
Every fourth year medical student can come up with a simple list of ddx for the common cases like for example chest pain or abdominal pain or cough.

Also that's why they created First Aid
It will help you build ddx also so go and read it
