Kaplan 2010 LN biochemistry (genetics) question

is it just me or are the pedigree diagrams in the medical genetics section in the kaplan 2010 LN are incorrect...

it says affected male, but the shaded icon are the square(female),

specially in mitochondrial diseases the male has the disease but he passes them to both his son which is odd cause males cannot pass mit. diseases

pp 307-311

or am i missing something

simple answer...

damn sooo stupid to over look that hahah tnks man it cleared up the mess.... :))

which means im sooo stress at this point that i overlook simple details......
