Kaplan is a lot of material, take that into consideration. If you can take live prep and try to get the videos that will be great. I only did the videos because live prep is no longer available in Miami. If you can get the videos somewhere do 7 weeks, I think that will be enough.

live lectures are a hundred fold better than Videos.. The teachers mention alot more in class than they would in the videos. Use the videos to learn but while going to lectures.. Listen to what the teachers when they start talking about what the USMLE test makers are testing now, and how they test them... If you have Dr. Barone for path.. Listen and note down everything he says! Same thing goes with Dr. Davis for pharm and Dr. Kudrath for Physio.. Those teachers are by far the best in kaplan medical.

Well, i have only seen the 2007 kaplan videos.. But i have a few friends who went to the same kaplan lecture course i did whom also had center prep. They said the videos was relatively the same as the course. But that the lectures had alot more material explained in it... Plus additional questions on the step were explained as kaplan is trying to make sure that the usmle step makers dont know how much kaplan actually knows about the step... If the step makers knew the stuff kaplan was telling its students.. They would try to counter by making brand new questions to throw off students as much as they could.

If you are used to study at home then you don't need it.
