Hey everyone. I'm attending kaplan step 1 live lectures at NYC centre. I'm finding these very helpful. There is an ongoing promotion going on in the month of June that gives the student 15% discount on the course. If anyone has any questions about the course, feel free to ask me.

I hope you'll take advantage of the discount. And if anyone decides to go ahead, please let me know I need a little favor.

Are you currently on the lectures or you want to enrolled on the lectures ?
So I'm currently attending the live lectures. I tried studying on my own a few times these past two years but I didn't make any progess whatsoever. My primary care physician who is an IMG from India recommended Kaplan for prep. She had taken the live lectures and the in center prep long time ago. So I enrolled myself in the May-June session which was the earliest option I had as I didn't want to waste any more time struggling on my own. This session ends next week.

So there are about 100 students in class. Each day is 9 hours of lectures with 10 mins break at the end of each hour and an hour long break mid day for lunch. Most of the professors are great and very helpful, answering questions in the breaks and even staying behind after class. We get to meed with the medical adviser who helps with the study plan (I met with mine last week and she helped make a study schedule for me for after the live lectures end). Because of the long day there I usually don't get to review everything they cover in the lecture on my own, which I really wanted to but I'm dead tired by the time I get home (long commute)

Hopefully I'll be able to keep the same pace of studying on my own after the classes end (atleast that's what I intend to do). I'm torn between enrolling for the in center prep or studying in a local library.

Anyway kaplan is offering 15% discount on all their courses and if a new student enrolls for a comprehensive course on the recommendation of a current student in the month of June, he/she (current student) gets one month access to the center for free. That's the favor I need that I mentioned in my first post.

You can come check out the center too. If you have more or any specific questions I'll be glad to answer. Take care!
ps: this isnt my real name. In case you go ahead with enrollment drop me an email.
