Kaplan Step 1 DVD Videos Download
One of the frustrating issues with our most famous USMLE educational company, Kaplan Medical, is the unavailability of direct Legal download of their awesome Video lectures for Step 1 preparation that would perfectly complement their Lecture notes.
Kaplan insist to give those DVDs only to their course subscribers and does not provide them as Internet download in their website or any other online vender.
Let's start a thread to know your opinion about this and let's put a poll to see if you are willing to pay should such a legal download became available.

Kaplan listened to us and now they provide live streaming of their videos to their online subscribers

Consider the money they will get from all those students who are getting illegal copies of those videos.
Those students will never register for the course but they may very possibly buy the DVDs if it's at a reasonable price and am one of them
The shear memory size of these videos might be a hurdle for Internet download.
The total size of Step 1 Videos only may amount to over 100 GB!
So I think the suggestion should be to ask them to sell us the DVDs with the lecture notes in one package
They can sell it on their website or any online vender such as Amazon

by the way Kaplan does allow you to stream online videos when you sign up for the deluxe web prep
Also currently they started to let you view the lectures in the centers online using their local networks though this in not yet for step 1
So I think pretty soon they will start to allow people to view lectures online for the duration of their subscription

Kaplan has used a new software technology called CopySafe
This will allow you to view the video online but u'll never be able to copy it as it is steaming

i think it will be on the Internet in a very obvious way and common in a very short time .. with or without kaplan acceptance .. so i suggest to do so by themselves
