Right ventricular heave (in left parasternal area) may indicate right ventricular dilatation also (such as in dilated cardiomyopathy)...


Right ventricular heave --> right ventricular hypertrophy or dilatation
Left ventricular heave --> left ventricular hypertrophy ONLY

Left ventricular dilatation is represented by displaced apex beat...
so on which part of the precordium can the left ventricular hypertrophy be palpated?
like right ventricular hypertrophy gives a left parasternal heave?
