Hello,
I am applying for clinical electives soon, for which i need LoRs from my faculty here in my current med school. I get along well with a few professors in the pre-clinical field, [path, micro, pharmac] and also my surgical profs. I am applying for electives in medicine. my doubt is, can i ask for LORs from these people? or is it better to approach the profs in the medicine dept for LORs?

kindly help..

Clinical LoRs better

It's always better to take LoRs from clinical profs so that they comment on your clinical abilities, your relation with patients and nurses, your clinical skills and knowledge, your punctuation by coming early to rounds, ...etc

I suggest you wait for the clinical LoRs
