A 55 year old heavy smoker with COPD has noticed a change in the pattern of his cough, increasing dyspnea, and his wife noticed hoarseness of voice.
Which of the following indicates lung cancer inoperability.
A) Hoarseness of voice
B) Hemoptysis
C) Changing pattern of cough
D) Increasing dyspnea

Answer is A

yes, the correct answer is A
Involvement of the recurrent laryngeal nerve is certainly a contraindication to surgery for lung CA.

some of symptoms that suggest unresectabe lung cancer;
weight loss>10%
bone pain
hoarseness
superior vena cava syn.(SVC syn.)
