It's always confusing to remember what causes micro and what causes macro nodular cirrhosis
Here's a list of common causes of micronodular cirrhosis
Alcohol, Metabolic, Hemachromatosis, Wilson's Disease
Here's a list of common causes fo macronodular cirrhosis
Viruses, Toxins, Poisoning
If you look carefully you'll see that all the micronodular causes are chronic while all the macronodular causes are acute
So think this way, acute conditions didn't have the time to form more fibrous bands to convert the big nodules into smaller ones
