I have 2 months to go before my exam, just done with 10% of UWorld avg 55-60% with semi random tests not confident enough to do it totally random..n that's the problem i am facing..while doing questions i understand it, know what its trying to ask n can figure out the tricky part but the part of recalling that specific thing gets me wrong..

I just brushed through half of FA while doing my 2nd read, though don't remember it that well..
I want to know how should I proceed from here on. Should I just revise FA n try to memorize it or should I go stick to Kaplan n Goljan n keep revising them 1 time more till a month before my exam...
moreover doing 1 block of UWorld takes me more around 6-8 hrs a day so i am not left with much time to go through the lecture notes and that's also limiting my performance..

Sorry for this long post but cant help it need sm1 to guide me through cant let all my hard work get wasted just because am not good at memorization and have a very low retaining power..:scared:

I haven't taken the Step yet, so my opinion is one of an amateur, but I would just work in First Aid at this point, only referring back to Kaplan when you get a question wrong that you really don't understand the concept behind... Any veterans out there have some good advice on when to take that step?

I recently started uworld for step 1, have done just ten tests so far. Trust me you need to do it randomly. It actually helps the score. Plus some concepts are repeated, so if you get it wrong in one block, you have better chances of getting it right on the next block

The way I am doing it is that I do a block, then review it. I Make notes while reviewing it. So far I haven't gone back to the books but use just uworld's explanations and my notes. I was told by my seniors that uworld alone is full of so much information, I should try to get the most out of it and not go back to kaplan notes. Not sure how accurate that is though.

yes i have also decided to give a quick read to FA and keep adding those subjects to my tests so by some time i will be doing it totally random, though its not the score of uworld that m worried abt..i am just taking it as a learning tool will do nbme later to assess myself..
