Mesonephric or Metanephric

Hello,

According to UW the collecting duct of the kidney is derived from the metanephros, but in FA it says its derived from the mesonephros. So which one is it?

The contribution of mesonephric primordia to the final urinary system is zero. In the context of embryogenesis of the renal system, mesonephros can be considered as a transitory, temporary formation.

Mesonephros only contributes to the male internal genital system (while the paramesonephric duct is its counterpart for the internal female genital system).

FA states just this: "mesonephros - functions as interim kidney for 1st trimester, later contributes to male genital system".

i guess what u r saying is wrong because the uretric bud is derived from the mesonephros which makes up a the ureter till the collecting ducts
