Transgenic mice are generated which are incapable of expressing beta 2 microglobulin. Which of the following components of host defense is most likely to be altered in these mice?

A- Complement
B- Cytotoxic T lymphocytes
C- Interleukin 2 (IL2) secretion
D- Natural killer cells
E- Neutrophils

beta2microglobulin is the part of the MHC1 that is not encoded in the HLA-gene-complex. the MHC1 is used as an 'ID' for cells, so they are left unharmed by the cytotoxic CD8.

answer is B.cytotoxic T-cells.!
becoz MCH-1 is cytotoxic expressd on all the nucleatd cells in the body , beta2 micro transports antigen to cell surface through exogenous pathway and its not encoded in MCH1. so its mutation affects cytotoxic T cells.
