Writing for all those who are preparing or waiting for their results..

I started prep along with ck which was from aug 2014 but concentrated solely on cs from end of nov since my exam was on mid-dec.
I only did FA, mini cases thrice, the 3rd time i didn't complete all & the long cases thrice as well.
Practiced on skype with 3-4 partners & also on my sis for live practice.
The exam is mostly about how u can make the most of ur time in 15 mins so concentrate on asking the qs pertinent to the cc. Also do the relevant exam.
Always show empathy to pt. if he/she says that it's hurting etc.

My mistakes:
Didn't do SLR test in pt. with back pain.
Couldn't figure out DDx of 2 cases.
Forgot to write Resp. Exam. in PN although I did perform it.
There must be more mistakes but these were the ones that kept bugging me alot

Alhamdulillah I passed with high performance in CIS & SEP & Above borderline in ICE

You couldn't diagnose two cases at all or just got the DDx a bit confused? I got my diagnosis completely wrong in one case and screwed up order of DDx in two others. And is there any part of the ICE on borderline or all above it?

Well i wrote 2 DDx for those 2 cases but i wasn't confident about them, God knows whether i got them right or wrong. I don't think the order really matters b/c everyone thinks in a different way, as long as u wrote the DDx it should be fine. ICE is above borderline, like immediate next to borderline.

what you can learn is the proper way of examination which i think we all are lagging. we (IMG) know how to do physical exam but we have to learn american way of focused exam that is what we have to learn. history part is not much stressed. a bit clarity is given on patient notes.
i have taken the course and i strongly recommend it and go well prepared for it just before (may be 10 -15 days) cs exam and you will learn a lot to pass the exam. my result is in march 11th or 18th or 25th. i will give more detailed review after my result.

I understand, these exams are expensive enough already :S
Anyway the best thing to do is to find around 2-3 sps with whom u r comfortable with & practice different cases with them on a daily basis. Practice alternately with u being the doc in 1 case & then the pt. in the other one.
Also if u get a live sp that would be great or u can practice on any of your siblings,husband,wife,mom,dad upto u
The main thing is to just keep practicing until u master all the key qs to be asked & the relevant exam. to be done.

you can call them or email them if u want discount. I think it is better to give some money than to have an attempt at cs. but many people do not take couching and they pass. so it is up to you to decide for it.
