Dear all
every body told me to be careful in writing my name in ecfmg application by error my name contain a - " dash" in my passport and I did not put the dash just a space ..... I sent everything to my college and they sent it back and I got certified in ecfmg valid untill 2015...then my appication to usmle exam is rejected guess why ? because of my diploma which is in arabic and I translated it here in USA wrote my name differently....I called them and told them its the translator error and it is a different language written from right to left with different letters??? one of the calls to the ecfmg a girl told me to make the translator write my name in the correct way and resend it again...the translator did it for me but I am alittle bit hesitant to resend it again .....what do u think ? it will be considered irregular behavior ? I need ur openion plz and if any one pass through this problem?
should I reapply for the ecfmg just because this damn dash????
should I include a personal message with all the documents saying that its the translator error and it is a language that is very different from english language?
i am desperate and i do not know what to do I even stop my studying >>>>>>>>>>>>> why do they put all these obstacles in our way ????

Don't worry

You should ask the translator to mention that "this is an amended translation, and that the name is changing without dash" he then should certify it.
It's a good idea also to attach a note explaining the problem.

Don't worry this won't be considered irregular behavior.

I myself know a friend who faced exactly the same problem and did what I told you above and he then successfully registered.
