hi friends
i am from India but currently i am in U.S.
i need some help here my name in my diploma has space between letters
example: Singh rohit kumar
but my name in my passport and in ECFMG record is without any space between letters
example: Singh rohitkumar
ECFMG wants to verify my name. I have translation of my birth certificae made by notary which has space between letters. This notarized translated birth certificate is from India.

Do ECFMG accepts translation by notary?
also i want to appear for step 1 exam in may, ihave alredy selected a block..can this verification stuff delay my exam?or i can give my exam while they verify it.
pls help

Do it with your medical school

I can see that the problem is in your Diploma.

So the best way to solve it, is by asking your medical school official to send a certified document telling them that you are the same person but your name was written different.

Am not sure if the ECFMG will accept your notary public verification, as the problem is in the Diploma which should be verified by the medical school itself.
