Whatever you did to pull this figure should not be buried with the fossils, it has to be shared sir/maam! Congratulations!
There's really no secret. I just read MTB2 for internal medicine and MTB3 for other specialties. Then, UWORLD for MCQ, did it twice and I took notes from uworld and just read those notes 1 weeks before exam. I did uworld for CCS. I bought Archer for CCS and I didn't finish it because it was really long and didn't find it useful. I did great in CCS part without Archer.

I am done with uworld first time. score is between 60-65%. I am done with CCS for first time too. I want to ask how to start revision. Do I need to read MTB 3 ? How effective it will be if I read it ? I am confused. I would rather revise uworld.
Help me out.
Thanks

UWSA (460)207-3 weeks before exam
NBME 3 <190 in 3-digit score...i dont know where i went wron

Exam in 1week
:scared::scared:
Should i take the exam?
I acutally got 211 for my UWSA, which I took 2 weeks before my exam and ended up getting a 251 on the real exam Those self assessment exams are not accurate, especially for step 3 but UWSA does not include the CCS component, so either doing really well or badly on CCS, can have a drastic effect on your real score.
Good luck.

Hello guys,
I need a quick help.
How long it takes to give your step 3 test result ? Is there any delay like step 2 ck ?
If I give it in september 1st week then when will I get my results ?
Thanks for helping

Thanks all for all your input in this forum!!
Now It's my turn to help others.
I'm an IMG, 2010 graduation.

Preparation Material:
Studied for 4 months with just UW. Also read my CK notes all along my preparation. Started CCS 6 weeks before the actual test with just UW, and review each case twice, which I think is more than enough for the test. Finished each UW block with some extra time, 8-10 minutes remaining.
No Kaplan, No MTB 2-3, No videos. No ARCHER.

Exam:
Day 1: I had the same CK feeling that I did really badly. But I just thought it was normal -post test depression-. I hated the drug add questions, the social sciences and ethics questions. Had like 5 Step 1/ and about 10 Step 2 stuff. My impression was that it was a little harder than USMLE world questions. I had the feeling of having multiple answers in about 15 questions, so don't panic; remember what's best for the patients or what comes first (UW algorithms).
In terms of time management I was always finishing the blocks on time, but when using UW I had like 8-10 minutes left. So be ready for this and train your reading techniques, or skip the hard ones.

Day 2: Really easy set of questions compared to day 1, questions were easier compared to UW. Had like 10 minutes left in each block. The cases are super easy. You may find one diagnosis in 10 of them, and 2 in the other ones (just use UW and you will be fine). All of them closed before the time limit.
Although this day seems longer compared to day 1, you will end up around the same time.

Score correlation
UW % average was 62, random and timed. 100% completed.
NBME 2 was a 490 6 weeks out
NBME 3 was a 530 3 weeks out
UWSA was a 210 5 days before test. I was really surprised. But I agree with what other people have said, if you pass UWSA, you'll pass the real one, do not pay too much attention to the 3 digit UWSA prediction.

Final score 222 Happy-2:happy::D:D :D!!! Got score on a Wednesday, 4 weeks after the test.

BYE BYE USMLE!!!!

Step 1 Step 2 around 230's

So yeah, you will expect your score to go down around 10 points in step 3.

Passed!!!

Thank you to everyone on this forum! I was able to knock out this exam before residency started!! :)

UWORLD 1st time: 56%
UWORLD 2nd time: 78%

UWSA: 202
NBME: Not taken!

ACTUAL: 205

Resources used: Uworld, Uworld CCS, Uworld Biostats, My step 2 ck notes, Skimmed through MTB.

My experience: I slept really well both days! Drug ads were not that bad, but I was strapped for time and had to guess on a few. Lots of biostats! CCS cases were similar to Uworld.

Thanks a lot for your experience. Quite helpful.

I was quite blown away by Day 1.
I have 1 week to prepare for day 2. What would you recommend to do in this time aside from revising u world ccs cases?

Your advice would be really helpful for me at this time

Thanks

Congrats you have finished the worst day so far!!

You have plenty of time, review UW CCS cases twice and also look for the CCS rules there's a PDF somewhere in this forum. with that your are more than ready, the CCS part is really similar to UW but cases are way easier and straight forward.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you recommend going through the u world q bank as a whole,or atleast the ACM part to prepare for the MCQs ?

My USMLE journey is over.
UW first time - 67%
Studied for 3.5 months: Kaplan Classroom anywhere step 3, MTB 3, UW (Qbank+CCS).
First day was piece of cake for me. During the second day exam session my computer TURNED OFF in the middle of 3rd block. So test center assistant spent ~ 10-12 minutes of my block time to turn on and log in. Also it was stressful for me and I couldn't concentrate as I did before.
Anyway I passed this exam (mostly bcz of 1 day result I think).
I didn't take any self-assessments bcz I was pretty confident in my preparation.

USMLE bye bye! Thanks GOD!!!

NBME has released form 4 which is the latest one to asses yourself for step 3. They removed all the previous forms. Is there anyone who has tried form 4 ?
I got 370 and exams are after a week. I am a little nervous.
I score 207 in UWSA.

I will be thankful for your guidance.

Done with the monsters

Done with step 3.

Prep: 4 months
did UW step 3+Made notes of it+MTB3+UW CK notes
UWSA: 230
Real Deal: 214 :(

My exam was really weird, First day had stats in every question, but it was better than the second day. In my second day, I was 100% sure that I have failed the exam, I messed up 2 CCS cases, almost killed one patient :p, got most of my cases from the offline UW cases. not a single case from online UW ccs.
I practiced CCS a lot, almost everyday !! I was very comfortable with the software but some weird cases just got on my nerves on the exam day and I freaked out. Still I have better performance in ccs.
The only place where I scored the least is the ethics question part, and I really don't know why that happened.

Good Luck everyone !!!
