Hi all,
I have been preparing for the step 1 for about 6 months, attending kaplan live lectures and all. Here are my stats:

Goal - 99 or as high as humanely possible without losing my sanity.

Kaplan Qbank - 50% done avg around 70%
Uworld - 60% done avg around 70%, still have around 1000 questions will finish 2 blocks a day up till my exam on dec 16th.

UWSA 1 - 244 - 6 weeks ago
UWSA 2 - 263 - 2 weeks back(this was a fluke, i think i hit everything i read and all my stars were lined up)

NBME 5 - 244 - 1 week ago
NBME 7 - planning to take in about 6 days.
Will have 10 days uptil exam after that,

I have read parts of First Aid 2010, I rely mostly on Kaplan notes, i have read them several times cover to cover, i still have weak areas in all the books, dont know all by hard for sure!!!

ETA - 18 days until exam

Condition - Real nervous because i feel like i lucked out on the Assessments and not really sure where i stand, yes i think i have confidence issues.

What do you guys advice? Read only first aid, go over the notes focusing on my weak spots? Just stop studying and do Uworld only???

Such nervousness only proves that we are human and beleive me its pretty normal considering the fact that evry thing is at stake!
But you should never underestimate your self! Be optimistic about your scores. Try to take the positives out of evrything. The scores you have mentioned are great scores and you cant get them by fluke evrytime!!
You are the best judge of yourself, if u feel you still have week spots go over them ,no compromise on your concept and keep doin uworld as well, then take a final test as if this was your real USMLE exam. Im sure ul do well!!

hey i have almost similar scores as yours and was xtremely tensed..tuk my xam 2 weeks back though..dint get score yet..will let u know my score and im sure thatl encourage u more..just be calm..but if u feel ur not prepared change the dates by a week or so..u always hav the chance to do tat...i did postpone mine by almost 2 weeks...be calm and go ahead..if u can get them right by luck once then u can probably get them right by luck again..luck doesn play a major role though and im sure ur well prepared to right xams seeing ur scores...

ya u seem pretty good..i haven taken nbme 6..so don know about the scores..do post ur scores when u take nbme 7..

thanks for your support everyone, much appreciated and necessary. quick update, i have decided to postpone the exam by 2 weeks (this was done prior to nbme 6), and i will be doing nbme form 7 in about 10 days, so i will update on that.

Hi blue devil looks like your in awesome shape for the exam stop second guessing yourself and getting nervous its counter productive i know its easier said than done... my recommendation is you probably should try and work on the question that you got wrong on u world

best of luck..hope your prep is going on fine..just go thru FA and kaplan imp things..well i think the shift to 322 questions/46q per block has made it harder to get 99...either way ur scores seem pretty nice..so be kewl..and go ahead with it...did u do ur nbme 7?

nah man, i postponed by about 2 weeks, just having another run through kaplan notes, i am a nervous freak, i feel i dont remember anything/dont know much of these books.
i am not using FA because i have never paid much attention to it. just kaplan noets and uworld marked questions for me.
will do nbme 7 soon.

thats a pretty nice thing to do..not to make u tensed but a good frnd of mine who had been dng well performed poorly for the xam..even im a nervous freak...take ur time..the nly explanation i can give is tat the new averages make a bit more tugher to get 99..thats all..wch college are u from?are u an fmg?

yes i am an fmg, i seriously dont know about the exam, everyone has their opinion , i am just studying, trying to stay focused without worrying about the result.
