Warm Greetings to all.

I am new on this site and have browsed through it a few times. First and foremost, I would like to thank all the moderators and members for all of their valuable input and questions. This site has really been helpful to me. Thanks once again.

I am a US citizen, did basic sciences in the Caribbean, and have now been preparing for the step 1. I have a hard time setting up a schedule and I feel I did not get a good education in the basics and also I blame myself for not working harder. I want to ask questions that may have been already asked (but I don't have too much time right now to go through the site) so hopefully someone can either answer my questions directly or post a link I can check.

A little bit more about me. I took a Kaplan course which I thought was good, but I feel as though I need more time individually to have a stronger grasp of the material. I have also checked out the Pass Program which is great for physio and biochem conceptually and learning clues, but I feel I should stick with the gold standard for IMGs/Foreign Medical Students: Kaplan, FA, Goljan, UW and Kaplan Qbank.

1. In what order should I read the Kaplan LNs?

2. Should I first read a chapter of lets say anatomy, then watch the corresponding video right after and follow along in the LNs? Then swiftly review it a third time before I proceed to the next chapter? Or would you say to first read the entire book and THEN watch the video and follow along in the notes and then do a quick review? Also, should it be the third time I start making notes into my FA?

3. Would you recommend making FA into a binder, and then add additional notes from Kaplan on a separate sheet of paper? Or have all the extra kaplan notes on actual page of the FA?

4. Instead of focusing on Kaplan for path, I was thinking of listening to the Goljan lectures and reading RR. Would you recommend going through the 125 page notes before listening? While listening? After? Should I read RR before or after the audios?

My apologies for any repeat questions, and I would like to hear from you guys on this. It would be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck to everyone in their endeavors. God willing we all succeed!

Thank you so much. I think I will do a quick skim before watching the videos. Then when I watch the vids I will pay attention closely and jot down notes in the margins provided.

First Aid seems more of a check list to me, I think I will use it as such after completing the KLNs.

Thanks so much for your responses. I have seen the TAUS method before. But I will stick to the good old fashion Indian/Pakistani style of studying :). Sit, read read read, and questions questions questions.
