Ok as am doing the UW questions, they gave a question that requires strict knowledge of anatomy and neuroanatomy.

It requires us to know the sensory and motor innervation of the muscles and skin of the lower limb!

They even mentioned in their explanation that we should familiarize ourselves with neuranatomy!

Guys, am so scared :scared:, am going for the CK first, I did not do step 1 and I never thought that they'll be asking such a pure basic knowledge questions.

Do you think such questions are common in the CK?

Yes u need neuroanatomy ... such as to understand stroke question .. u need to know blood supply of brain ... and what artery supply which area and what s/s will appear if those artery are blocked ...... U need visual pathway ... U need to know Upper and lower motor neuron pathway and their lesion signs .... Also need spinothalamic , corticospinal , spinocerebellar tract , dorsal column ML system .... and all the cranial nerves and their supply and lesion .. mostly occular nerves ... To understand medicine neurology u need to have good knowledge on neuroanatomy ........

Right ... coz u will need lots of pharma knowledge ... specially whole autonomic .... when u will study drug treatment in medicine ... U will get lots of thing from biochemistry in pediatrics including genetic disease ..... for infectious disease u will need microbiology .... actually all are related to each others ..... to understand mechanism of a ds u need physio and patho ....
But there r lots of person who did their ck first and got 99 ..... and person who finish step 1 but didnt get good score in ck ..... Its all about how u like to prepare urself ...... Wish u all the best ...
